BEEr & Wine Tours

In 2024 Mer av Oslo commissioned me to create new experience for them. I’d long wanted to highlight Oslo’s great craft beer bars, and introduce people to the variety of beers. This led to creating the Beer Tour and building on its popularity, we launched the Wine Tour.
Both are inspired by social dining, bringing strangers together for drinks, food, and socialising. The tours are a mix of exploration of new places, social interaction and learning.

Wine Tour

The Wine Tour kicks off at Bislett in Oslo, where a group of strangers comes together for an evening together.
From there, we wander between three wine bars, each just a short stroll apart.
Guests split into smaller groups, rotating every hour. At each bar, a host, often a sommelier, presents three handpicked wines with paired snacks.
It’s not just a tasting, it’s an adventure: new wines, new places, new people. A relaxed, playful way to explore Oslo’s wine scene and see that wine is meant to be enjoyed, not overthought.

Beer Tour

The Beer Tour begins at Røør, where twenty-plus guests gather for an evening of flavor and fun. The host kicks things off with a deep dive into the brewing process and a tasting of four unique beers, each introduced with its story and style.
From there, the group strolls to Brygg for another round of curated tastings before heading to Crow bar, where house-specialty food is paired with a final beer.
It’s more than a tasting—it’s a social journey through Oslo’s craft beer scene, mixing learning, laughter, and discovery. Along the way, guests uncover new flavors, favorite spots, and the fact that beer is so much more than just pilsner.
